It'll be a very cold one to start the day; it is a new day so make it a good one. Happy Thursday, North Carolina! We're looking at a very cold start to the day with temps in the single digits and 10s for most areas across the state. I expect partly to mostly sunny skies for the most part; this will help with melting across parts of Central/Eastern NC. Highs will be in the 30s for most areas, and some areas east will be a little cooler as a lot of the sun's energy will go into melting, thus not allowing it to warm up as much. Watch out for slick roads especially this morning!
