It’s a new day across the state; make it a great one. Happy Friday, North Carolina! Looking over the morning data, we’re seeing some areas of fog otherwise it is a quiet day. Partly to mostly sunny skies are expected, and highs will be in the 80s for most areas, with some spots near 90°. A system will flow into Western NC; it should fire scattered showers and thunderstorms across the mountains and foothills this afternoon and evening. These storms will generally fall apart as they move east, but an isolated storm or two might make it into Central NC this evening.
