It's a new day across the state and the start of a new week; our weather will change some. Happy Monday, North Carolina! We will have a few scattered showers working across the state, and there will not be much rain; some spots east may not see anything, but a few scattered showers are possible across the state today. Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected. Highs today will be in the 60s and low 70s for most areas cooler in spots when rain moves through. This rain will not be much, but we will take anything we can get on the fire spots. However, gusty winds this afternoon and evening will not help with the fires.
