A warmer day ahead to end out the weekend with a storm chance mainly to the west. Happy Sunday, North Carolina! Our weather will remain in control from a ridge to the west, but there will be storms returning to the forecast. I expect partly to mostly sunny skies today; Central and Eastern NC areas east of Greensboro will stay dry today. Western NC Greensboro and points west have a chance of a few showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening. Highs today will be warmer in the upper 80s and low/mid 90s. Rain is much needed across the entire state, but only western NC have a chance today.
