A new day is ahead; let's do this. Happy Thursday, North Carolina! Convection overnight has allowed for low stratus clouds to develop, especially across Northeast NC; this will keep highs in check across Northeast NC in the low-mid 80s. I expect partly sunny skies elsewhere across the state with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. A few showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening, but not expecting widespread coverage. If you don't see rain today, you will be out of luck until Monday. An isolated storm could be strong to severe today with damaging winds.
Daily forecasts will be posted here around 5 AM each day, and if you're subscribed to emails, they will be emailed to you along with all blog posts I make. I hope this helps you out.
