It's a new day. A cold front will pass through today, but no rain is expected. Happy Thursday, North Carolina! As we walk out the door today, it'll be a little warmer to start the day. For most areas, temperatures are in the 50s and 60s. I expect mostly sunny skies; it'll be breezy today across the state with winds of 10-20mph and some higher gusts. Highs will be a little cooler, generally in the 70s, with the 60s across the higher elevations of the mountains. Friday will also be a little cooler across the state before a warmup is expected on Saturday, followed by cooler temps on Sunday.
