Watching the Tropics

🌀Tropical Update. Well, it appears the break in hurricane season is about to come to an end and the switch is about to flip for hurricane season. As of this morning the National Hurricane Center was monitoring An area of disturbed weather over the central tropical Atlantic Ocean is expected to interact with an approaching tropical wave during the next several days. There is a chance of development as this system approaches the Caribbean and Southeastern US next weekend.

‼️There are many unknowns with this system, not even a guarantee it’ll develop, so before you see scary overhyped model runs posted all over social media, I wanted to get you updated. We don’t know where it’ll go or how strong it’ll be yet, but the general motion is towards the SE United States next weekend. It is worth keeping an eye on it and making sure your hurricane preparedness plans are updated and ready, especially if you live along the coast. It would be best if you always had some hurricane supplies ready.

👀The second graphic is how long it takes for a Tropical System to reach the United States from the Atlantic Main Development Region on average. We’re talking about 7-10 days from now, no one has a damn clue where this system will be. However, I think we should keep an eye on it. I’ll be updating 24/7 over the next few days until there’s no way it can be a threat anymore.

😎The Bottom Line: Hurricane Season is here. And you should always be keeping an eye on things just in case. There is no reason to fall for hype or scary news articles or Facebook posts that show exactly where this system is going, how strong it’ll be, etc. right now, it is way too early in the game for this one. I’ll be here every step of the way like I always have been.
